Set in a forgotten Canadian settlement along the southern shores of Bedford Basin. It is the summer of 1964 when seventeen year-old WILLIAM COLLINS witnesses the largest development project of its kind initiated by The City of Halifax. As Africville faces demolition and residents are displaced under The Urban Renewal Program, and William emerges as an unlikely leader of a powerful uprising to save his community from disappearing forever.
